The new Flexform space.

The new Flexform space is designed around a single, considered palette: sand, oat and stone wools, cognac and tobacco leather, walnut and pale oak, honed marble and natural jute. Columns of hand-woven rope and walls of backlit fabric divide the floor into a sequence of rooms, each composed as it would be in a home, and each with its own light.

The sofas at the centre of the collection are shown in their latest form. Groundpiece, with its deep feather cushions and leather-clad arms. Cestone, with its hand-woven leather sides. Camelot, resting on its cowhide bar. Loungescape. Around them sit the armchairs, tables, ottomans and shelving that complete each setting, including the Tessa armchairs and stools in rope-woven walnut and the Bangkok ottomans in woven hide. Almost all of it is in fabrics and leathers we have not shown before.

A material library and selection table anchor one end of the space. Flexform's fabrics, leathers, timbers and finishes are laid out to be handled, with the pieces a few steps away, so a sample can be considered against the seat it is intended for, in the light it will live in. It was conceived for designers working through selections with their clients, and it is open to anyone who would like to take their time.
