Wardrobe Design Process
Our bespoke Poliform wardrobe design service: designed with you in New Zealand, made to order in Italy, and installed by our own team.
A custom wardrobe is one of the few pieces of furniture in a house that has to fit exactly. That is why Poliform wardrobes are built as modular systems rather than finished products, and why the design process starts with your room rather than a catalogue.
Studio Italia offers custom-designed Poliform wardrobes, made completely to order in Italy from the finest European and international materials. Wardrobes are modular to fit any space, we offer a range of options to suit different budgets, and a wardrobe can even be reconfigured if you move house.
Our Auckland design team works with you from the first measurement through to installation, alongside your architect, designer or builder.
Make an appointment with your Studio Italia design consultant. At this initial consultation we discuss your bedroom wish list and the wardrobe project's specifications — starting with the dimensions of your space, whether a walk-in wardrobe or a traditional wardrobe with doors is the better answer, and how you live: where your shoes, handbags, hats, jewellery or suits belong.
Based on your brief, our design team presents an initial layout and cost estimate. A design fee, dependent on the complexity and size of the project, is discussed at this point to progress the design. Over a series of meetings we refine it further — our showroom wardrobes let you touch and feel finishes and fittings, from leather fronts to hidden drawers.
Once the design, materials and costs have been approved by you, the design team produces a full package of technical information and the order is placed, confirmed with a 40% deposit. Your wardrobe is then custom manufactured in Italy to your specifications, tested, and shipped to New Zealand.
Our in-house team manages the delivery and installation of your new wardrobe, working with your builder and architect to meet your timelines. From initial preparations and on-site inspections through to final installation, every detail is covered to accurately and efficiently match specifications.
