Spencer Ceramics is the practice of New Zealand–born ceramicist Craig Spencer, based in Auckland and working between New Zealand and Australia. With over 20 years’ experience in interior design across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, his ceramic work is informed by a strong understanding of space, proportion and materiality.

Since discovering ceramics in 2018, Spencer has developed a distinctive body of work combining wheel-thrown and slab-built techniques to create refined, architectural forms. His pieces celebrate the natural qualities of clay while retaining the subtle marks of the hand, connecting the object to its making.

Influenced by modernist architecture and a minimalist approach to form, Spencer produces ceramic collections, art objects and bespoke lighting for architects and designers, as well as private clients and international brands including Aesop. His work emphasises craftsmanship, material integrity and timeless design, creating objects that sit harmoniously within interior spaces.
