Elettra armchair
Designed by B.B.P.R. – Gian Luigi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti and Ernesto Nathan Rogers – Elettra was conceived in the heart of post-war Milan’s reconstruction, a time when architecture and design became tools for cultural renewal. Within this context, between the Milan Triennale and the A.R. plan, a vision took shape that would leave a lasting mark on the history of Italian design. In the 1950s, alongside domestic furniture, B.B.P.R. introduced new solutions for collective and professional spaces: the Elettra armchair stands as one of the most iconic expressions, combining structural rigor with formal lightness. On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, Elettra reinvents itself through refined new interpretations: both the chair and the armchair are now available in sophisticated gold and black nickel finishes. Two precious options that enhance the timeless elegance of the design, projecting it into a contemporary and scenographic dimension.
