Kettal re-edits the Globo Series (1965), a masterwork by the legendary Spanish designer Miguel Milá that remains a definitive benchmark of 20thcentury lighting. Originally awarded the prestigious Delta de Oro upon its debut, the Globo collection is celebrated for its radical simplicity and pioneering spirit. Milá defied traditional lighting conventions by adapting
industrial blow-molding—a process typically reserved for mass packaging—to create a low-pressure frosted polyethylene sphere. This honest approach to materials resulted in a luminous body of perfect proportion that screws into a black injected plastic support, punctuated by a refined brass lampholder.

The collection’s enduring modernity lies in its ability to transcend trends, offering a soft, diffused glow that feels inherently organic yet strictly functional. Now updated by Kettal in four versatile sizes—17, 30, 40, and 60 cm—and suitable for outdoor use, the Globo series is designed to adapt to a vast range of environments.
