Mondrian sofa

Name: Mondrian sofa
Brand: Poliform

A minimalistic design, a graphic and modern image with a strong architectural component. Mondrian is a system designed to offer maximum compositional freedom. The characteristic thin metal feet support a linear structure that seems suspended. Two seat depths available and armrests in four sizes, to be enriched with wooden backrest and shelves, or with the wooden coffee table. A complete project that interprets the contemporary living space with personality.

Available in a range of configurations and upholstery options.

Designer

Jean Marie Massaud

Graduated from the ENSCI in 1990, Jean-Marie Massaud has run a quest for synthesis, reduction and lightness since his first intuitions. He has been working all kind of design fields, from furniture to industrial product and equipment. In 2000, he founds Studio Massaud and expands his expertise to architecture and brand development. He collaborates with various brands such as B&B Italia, Axor Hansgrohe, Dior, Poltrona Frau, Lancôme or Renault. Denying trend and fashion, Jean Marie prefers questioning the existing, working out on progress and eventually proposing answers to contemporary stakes. It is this symbiosis between Man, his creations and his natural environment, that Jean Marie Massaud strives to reach, as a catalyst to innovation, as an economic model and as a life project.

Poliform

Poliform is the art of the complete home. Kitchens, wardrobes, sofas and beds are all designed as part of one considered system, so a whole house feels connected rather than pieced together room by room.

Much of the current collection is shaped by long-time collaborator Jean Marie Massaud, whose work with Poliform spans nearly every category, alongside Emmanuel Gallina. It's this pairing of thoughtful design and genuine Italian craftsmanship that makes Poliform pieces feel equally at home in a considered apartment or a full family house.
