Shiwa vase
The Shiwa vase collection, created in collaboration with ceramic artist Yuki Nara, includes various models in different shapes and sizes, inspired by nature and its transformations. The vases are made using high-quality artisanal ceramic processes that highlight the artist’s hand and expertise. The vases are crafted from white clay using the slip-casting technique, an ancient ceramic process that makes it possible to create objects by pouring liquid clay into a plaster mold. As the mold absorbs the water, the clay settles on the walls until it reaches the desired thickness. After being skillfully smoothed by the expert hands of artisans, the vase is ready for glazing, which is carried out through a traditional airbrush process. The contemporary-design Shiwa vase collection includes standard finishes as well as an annual limited-edition collector’s piece.
