Established in June 2000, Adjaye Associates was founded by David Adjaye, who is widely recognized as one of the leading architects of his generation. The practice has gained international renown with work in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, distinguished by its insightful cultural engagement and the transformative civic qualities of its buildings. Projects range in scale from private houses, exhibition design and temporary pavilions to major arts centres, civic buildings and masterplans.

Completed buildings include two community libraries in Washington DC, the Moscow School of Management, the Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver and two Idea Stores in London. Knoll is where modern furniture history was made, and it's an American story from the very start. Founded in New York in 1938 by Hans Knoll, the company was shaped from 1943 onward by Florence Knoll, an architect and designer in her own right, who built Knoll's now-legendary partnerships with the era's leading modernists.

It's through Knoll that pieces like Eero Saarinen’s Womb and Tulip chairs, Harry Bertoia’s wire chair, Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona chair and Warren Platner's intricate wire collection became modern design icons, alongside Marcel Breuer's Wassily and Cesca designs, which joined the collection through Knoll's 1968 acquisition of Gavina. These aren't reissues: they're the genuine article, still made to the same exacting standard today, ready to anchor a considered home rather than sit behind a museum rope.
