Infinity coffee table

The mathematical symbol of eternity is a figure that resembles a horizontal figure 8. The analogy is of course that if you follow the line it will take you eternity to arrive at its end. But this is of course true of all loops, in any shape or form.
The logic behind the leg loop of the Infinity table follows two principles:
• From each touch point (floor or tabletop) to the next, the loop extends either straight or diagonally.
• The shape of the loop figure is uniquely different from every viewing angle.
The intriguing effect of the leg loop is that the table changes expression asymmetrically when moving around it. Despite the strict geometrical principles, it appears to be completely random.
To this, there’s a meditative quality.
The structure is realized in metal, lacquered in the colors of arflex collection, and over is placed the glass temperate top, fumé or light blue.
